ELENA MIR FAKHRAEI
Elena Mir Fakhraei (*2002 in Berlin) studiert Malerei an der weißensee kunsthochschule berlin. In ihren Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich vorwiegend mit ihrem kulturellen Hintergrund und der Migration ihrer Familie aus dem Iran. Dabei sucht sie nach einer eigenen Übersetzung ihrer iranischen Kultur in ihrem westlichen Kontext. Diese Suche bringt sie durch Malereien sowie Videoarbeiten zum Ausdruck. Die ausgestellte Arbeit ist ein 8mm-Film und porträtiert ihre Tante, die über Themen wie Verlust und Vergänglichkeit spricht.
